Camera Phones And How to Download

A pixel is a single point in a graphic image. The more pixels used to represent an image, the closer the result can resemble the original. The number of pixels in an image is sometimes called the resolution, though resolution has a more specific definition. Pixel counts can be expressed as a single number, as in a "three-megapixel" digital camera, which has a nominal three million pixels.

A megapixel is 1 million pixels, and is used not only for the number of pixels in an image, but also often to express the number of sensor elements of digital cameras. For example, a camera with an array of 2048 x 1536 sensor elements is commonly said to have "3.1 megapixels" (2048 x 1536 = 3,145,728).

Thus the more Megapixels; results in a larger higher quality image. So you would want to go for a camera with a megapixel display that is 1.2 megapixels or higher. Right now, a really good phone would have around a 2.0 megapixel camera or greater. I haven't seen any with a megapixel display greater than 3.1 as yet.

My advice... Go for the Motorola V3X that is a good phone with a 2.0 megapixel camera with flash and 8 x zoom.

I'm not aware of any prepaid plans that offer an option through the plan to directly download pictures to your computer. I believe that your best bet would be to determine what phone would allow you to connect it to your computer via USB cable and has PC Suite, for example, and then use the phone's software to download the pictures to your computer. For example, you can purchase a special USB cable for the Motorola Razor that will allow you to connect it to your computer. You can charge it that way and also download the contacts and pictures to your computer.

If your cell phone has Bluetooth, you can also purchase a Bluetooth USB Adapter (Iogear makes one, model GBU221P) that will allow you to use Bluetooth to connect to your computer.

To my knowledge, the cell phone providers do not sell the phones with these cables. You would need to purchase the cable from the cell phone company or a third-party provider. I purchased my Iogear Bluetooth adapter at Best Buy.

The cell phone providers want you to use their wireless service to send pictures, because they charge you either a monthly fee for a specific amount of kilobytes or typically $0.02 per kilobyte for this service.

The answers to your questions are dependent on the phone you choose, to generalize most camera phones do have the capability to transfer picture to PC. You may have to purchase a cable as an extra or it may come with the phone, it depends. Depending on how you transfer you picture from phone to phone, e.g. sending them as a picture message (you will be charged for this) or via Bluetooth (this is free), will determine how much it cost.

You do not have to pay for a text service to be able to use the camera, but if you want to send them on then you will. Once again photo quality and format is very much dependent on the phone, most Nokia phones have reasonable quality cameras and save pictures as .jpg in 640x480. With the quality of Lithium batteries these days I would not worry about the phone running low due to camera use, most models will last at least 48 hours before dying! It's a good habit to charge a phone over night anyway so no problem there.

Most camera phones that take photos in 640x480 can store about 600 picas, if you can use a memory card like i do with my Nokia 7710 u can potentially store around 10000, but that a bit excessive! Depending on how much you spend on the phone will depend on the quality; if you can I would advise you to go for a Nokia, as they are extremely user friendly.

As time passes, and society's need for increased security advances, limitations in current technology become apparent. Police officers on the job, private eyes who need to satisfy their customers, and private citizens who want to keep their property secure all need state of the art surveillance equipment. Several companies recognized the demand and began manufacturing sophisticated spy camera surveillance supplies. This industry evolves with each passing year, delivering more versatile models by the minute.

Most people have probably seen movies where detectives organize a stakeout or a surveillance operation. These activities have become much easier and simpler with the advent of new spy camera surveillance tools. Customer Review: Sharp and Simple

I always look to CANON, when it comes to an imaging device. I own several Canon cameras, (still and video), (2) printers and (2) scanners. The CANON SD1100IS does everything it claims with the same quality as the more expensive cameras do. With the arrival of my 2 grandchildren, I wanted a camera that captured Clean, Sharply focused pictures quickly, since babies won't pose for you. So far, since I purchased this at the end of March, I have taken over 300 photos. At present, I have only charged the battery once and it is still ready to shoot. The on-board effects add an incredible touch of professionalism to my pictures. Sunlight, indoors, at night, ambient lighting without a flash, every picture a keeper! If you are looking for versatility, simplicity, and great pictures you will be proud of, consider the SD1100IS. I researched a lot of cameras, and the SD1100IS did all I wanted and more, for a very affordable price.

Customer Review: Great Camera!

I just came back from The Netherlands and this camera performed fantastic!

My pictures are beautiful and I was able to do many different functions with the camera. I would highly recommend to all.

Customer Review: Garmin Nuvi 650 Review

Been using this unit for a few weeks now. Navigation is great, but every once in a while, you get some wierd routing. Only other negative is the lack of (or apparent lack, maybe I just haven't figured it out yet) route pre-planning. I like to set a lot of waypoints and select certain routes when riding my motorcycle. With that said, the rest of this unit is fantastic. Fast rerouting, good screen visibility and having all the accessories in the package is a must. A lot of the other brands require extra purchases for window and power adapters. Everything you need is in the box. I would definately recommend this unit to others looking for a good portable unit.

Customer Review: It's pretty...

This is my first GPS and from reviews seem like the best one to go for besides the 350 or 360. I live in Indiana and there are LOTS of stuff that's been here for ages that is not to be found in any searches or POI on this unit. Petco, nope not there. Petsmart, not there either. Fry's Electronics, again nope. I have had limited time to truly test accuracy but as of now its 0%. There are loads of places here that have been around for years if not decades but have not managed to make its way onto a GPS. Why? Not sure, just glad I didn't buy the 2009 update which did absolutely nothing.

Anyways, I was testing out local places I visit often and so far usually a block or more off in the opposite direction of the actual shop, eatery, etceteras. The main concern is that I'm getting a new job that requires you to be at a new job site every week or less around the state and I'm really doubting it's reliability. For a GPS, people are going to put most of their faith on it getting you there and not getting you lost which is opposite the intended use. So, I'm really crossing my fingers on this one or its back to the merchant.

Looks/Feel: 8/10

Ease of Use: 9/10

Detail: 8/10

Accuracy(so far): 3/10

It's connects to the satellites almost instantly and with full bars constantly. I'm not saying do not buy this, just if your in a low scale state and not in CA, NY, etceteras then do some hard research before buying. Still, I'm in a very POI county which should have all listed for travel but seem to be coming up short...

Customer Review: I LOVED IT, BUT...

The screen broke, just cracked down the middle one day. i was very careful with it and the screen just cracked out of nowhere and never worked any more after that :( no wonder its so cheap. go for their new products that aren't 1/3 of their original price.

Customer Review: Best money spent on hobby electronics.

I've been using my Sansa for 2+ years. Daily.

Pros: It sounds great and has fantastic battery life for audio.

Cons: Once in a while it has sync problems. But this could also be blamed on the Rhapsody software.

Of all the stuff I've bought for personal use for under $100; this has to be my favorite thus far.

As time passes, and society's need for increased security advances, limitations in current technology become apparent. Dummy Cameras Provide Added Security Without The High Costs Of Security Cameras

From the outside, dummy cameras appear to be real security cameras, but they lack the expensive recording components inside. Without physically taking a dummy camera apart, there is no way of knowing it is actually a fake. Dummy cameras provide added security without the high costs of additional cameras. When a criminal sees a security camera, or what is thought to be one, he is likely move on. When faced with a tight budget, dummy cameras are an excellent alternative to fully functioning security cameras.

Various dummy cameras offer an assortment of capabilities, and it is important that you think about the different features and abilities available to you when choosing dummy cameras. Your choice of dummy cameras depends on which elements you feel are the most important and which ones fit your needs and budget the best.

Features

- Flashing or steady LED "recording" light,
- Panning motion or steady,
- Actual camera housings or look-alikes,
- Bullet style or dome style, and
- Indoor or outdoor structure.

Choosing dome style dummy cameras will lead burglars to believe you have the ability to view a 360-degree range of an area, while bullet style dummy cameras give off the perception that a close-up picture of his or her face is being recorded.

Home Use

If you have already installed surveillance equipment in your home, but would like to give the impression of having more cameras, dummy cameras are the way to go. Burglaries are not hasty crimes. Homes are usually staked out by burglars before any crime takes place, and the presence of cameras, especially more than one, is enough to send any burglar on his or her way.

Business Integration

Each year in the United States, retailers lose approximately 10 billion dollars due to shoplifting and 15 billion dollars due to employee theft. The strategic placing of dummy cameras is an efficient and inexpensive way to deter pilfering. Placement should be well thought out, keeping in mind the three locations which will get the most attention: (1) the front entrance (2) the back corners (3) the back door or loading dock.

The power of suggestion offered by the presence of dummy cameras is an effective tool in lowering your costs due to theft.

You deserve top notch security of your home and your business, no matter your budget constraints. The integration of dummy cameras is a cost-efficient and unproblematic way to ensure the safety of your home, family, business, and employees.

Customer Review: A disappointment

I usually do not write reviews, especially bad ones. But I had to make an exception with this camera.

My son really wanted a camera for Christmas, but we happened to go to a store before the holiday and once he saw it he had to have the Spider man one, since he just loves Spider man. He was really excited about it until we opened it and he tried to take pictures with it. The preview screen is super small - and it is not at all functional. My son was very disappointed and so was I. Honestly, if you do not want to disappoint your child, please do not waste your money on this camera.

Customer Review: DON'T BOTHER!! MICRO MINI VIEW FINDER!

I bought this camera for my son when he was going on a week long class trip. Thank goodness I also packed a disposable camera. The camera package looks cool, but the digital viewing area is micro mini and practically black and white. You cant see a thing.

Also, it was very difficult to figure out too.

Don't waste your money.

Bratz YAZ 3.0 MP Digital Still Camera w/LCD

Bratz YAZ 3.0 MP Digital Still Camera w/LCD
Customer Review: Fun Colorful Camera

My nieces loved their Bratz cameras. For the price I think it is very decent, but I wish that I would have splurged a bit more and gotten a different camera. The camera looks just like what you see in the image. I thought that this would be nice so my nieces would not be embarrassed of the camera in a few years when they outgrow Bratz dolls. The design is fun and very cool.

The picture takes a very long time to take so the images turn out very blurry. Also, the view screen is a very poor quality.

The camera is very cute and my nieces like it. If this is the top of your price point and you think your child can stand the 5 second wait for the picture to take, then I would recommend this camera, but if you can spend an extra few dollars I'd recommend a low end off brand adult camera instead.

Customer Review: Bratz Digital Camera

I bought this camera for my 9 year old daughter as a christmas present, so I haven't opened it yet. But I will say, there is no Bratz girl on the camera, she is only on the box. Once you take the camera out of the box, it is just another digital camera. To me that's false advertisement.

Decision Made On What Sort Of Digital Camera You Want

You have now decided to go a head and purchase a digital camera, but like many other electronic devices available to consumers now days the digital camera is changing all the time. You may find that for the same amount of money you would have spent a few months ago on a camera you will now get one with more and more features such as megapixels, storage space and zoom facilities. This article will hopefully provide you with a few hints and tips on what you should be looking for and how to choose the best camera for you.

There are a number things that you will need to consider when making this all important purchase. Firstly you need to work out how much you are willing to spend, some can cost from as little as ten dollars to ones that will cost a thousand dollars or more. You will also need to decide what you will be using the camera for as well as how much you are going to spend. The best way of solving this is by writing down a few simple questions such as will I be using it to take family pictures? Will it be used to take photographs of the landscape? Will I be traveling a lot? Will I need it for taking lots of flash photography? By having these questions in mind it will make your choice of camera easier.

Now that you have decided on how much you want to spend and what it will be used for you can look at a range of potential cameras that fit in to your criteria and build up a list of the ones you are interested in and include details such as price and the features that each one has to offer.

Below I provide a list of features with a short explanation that should be included when you are making up a list of features for the cameras that you are interested in.

Firstly there are Megapixels. Many cameras now come with an ever increasing number of megapixels and many people ask if the more megapixels a camera has is better. Having more megapixels all really depends on whether your are going to print photographs (especially enlargements) or you want to zoom in and crop the fine detail out of large photographs. Or is it just that you want to look at them on your computer and may be occasionally print of a few small prints. I would suggest that you look at using a 2 megapixel camera for the latter as you will find that most computer screens have a resolution of 1024x768 which even when viewing a photograph on a full screen which equates to less than 1 megapixel. Even a photograph (4x6) printed off will have a DPI higher than 300 which will be more than enough to produce a high quality print.

However, if you plan to print enlargements of your photographs then you need to look at the different print sizes and what megapixels are required to produce high quality prints. The table provided below shows you the photograph size and the megapixel required.

Photo Size Megapixel

4x6 2

5x7 3

8x10 7

11x14 14

16x20 28

20x30 54

However, if money is no object where the purchase of your camera is concerned then the more megapixels you have may out weigh other features that could be available to you. For example should you spend money on the extra megapixels or a better lense, or an external flash unit? Really, it all depends on how you camera will be used. So remember to decide what your camera will be used for and make the decision on what is more important to you based on this.

Next is the Zoom feature. In some cases it is very handy to have the use of a good quality zoom on your camera, especially say when you want to take a good quality portrait photo where the object/person?s face fills the complete photo frame, whilst when taking a photo of a group of people you want to make sure that everybody is in it.

You will find that there are two types of zoon now available, optical and digital. The optical zoom works by physically moving the cameras lense and changing the focal length of the picture. By changing the focal length you are able to make objects or subjects appear bigger than they are and that will fit the full photo frame. Whilst a digital zoom works by using built in software in the camera to clearly define a certain section of the photo that you are interested in taking. Then once this has been chosen the software inside will remove the rest of the photo surrounding the area and will then enlarge the chosen section and this will fit into a complete photo frame. Unfortunately the one downside of using a digital zoom is that the quality of the enlarged photo is less than that of the original photo taken.

So in conclusion if you are serious about taking photographs and not just to use it for taking those all important holiday snaps I would suggest you opt for the optical zoom and from a practical point of view a digital zoom should not be considered as a zoom lense at all.

However you need to be careful when looking at a camera you are thinking of buying as not always do the manufacturers stipulate whether the zoom figure specified is actually optical or digital. It can become quite confusing for those people who do not understand the difference between these two. So for example if a camera says it supports a 5X optical zoom and 10X digital zoom then is being advertised as a ?10X zoom camera? you can see how the confusion can arise. A 10X digital zoom can be done to any camera just by using some simple PC software.

Once you have compared different cameras zooms then always compare their optical zoom capabilities as well. Really you can totally ignore the digital zoom figures that you will be provided with.

SanDisk 4GB MicroSDHC Card with SD Adpater ( SDSDQ-4096-A11M, US Retail Package )
This will help ensure your transition from the microSD format to the microSDHC format and for compatible host devices. Also comes with a full size SD adapter to fit into devices with an SD slot.

Customer Review: SanDisk 4GB micro SDHC card with SD adapter and bonus MicroMate USB adapter

By far the best price going anywhere $29.18. Other shops in the local area of Washington DC were selling the same thing for $39.95, without the MicroMate USB adapter. I use the card in my cell phone. When I use the regular SD adapter in my multimedia slot on my laptop computer it is not recognized. But when I use the MicroMate USB adapter, file transfers are not a problem. I can easily move music, video, and pictures from computer to card and back again. At $29.18 I can recommend this product.

I really like this product. I definitely helps keep my phone connected to my computer when I need it to be.

Belkin F3U133-06 Pro Series Hi-Speed USB Cable (Six-Feet)

Belkin F3U133-06 Pro Series Hi-Speed USB Cable (Six-Feet)
A premium quality USB A-B device cable

Customer Review: Whim zam zimmee-- it's a USB 2.0 cable what can I say?

This particular USB cord is nice because of the plastic molding around high stress areas. (like all the Belkin stuff I've seen) The molding is it's most unique feature. It's well made and it works with hubs, printers, USB Hard Drives. Belkin is a good name (but usually priced for the retail market) I honestly bought because the on-line price was as good as the off-brands but good quality. I've seen the same exact cable in the stores for $30 or more

I'm using as a printer cable for the past month with no problems. It's also backward compatible with USB 1.1.

Customer Review: Good Brand, Good Quality

Belkin F3U133-06 Pro Series Hi-Speed USB cable is a strong product that shows how reliable Belkin products are. The data transfer reliability is 100% and because it utilizes USB 2.0 the read rates are efficient and never lags. When using the cable with either my printer or scanner, it doesn't creates read issues when switching between the two devices, compared to other cables I have tried. Customer Review: Did not recieve product to review

There was a mix up with mailing address so did not recieve the product, so no review available.

Customer Review: Exactly what I needed.

So far, I've got nothing but good things to say about this card. It reads quick, writes quick, and transfers quickly on to my computer. I can fit well over 500 of the highest quality pictures on this card, which is way more than I'll ever need at any one time. It can also hold about 18 minutes of video. I'm perfectly happy with it so far.

This is our humble presentation on used cameras. Your reading it will add the necessary weightage to the presentation.

A used cameras Artilce for Your Viewing
Lights, Camera, Take Action

Have you ever had a great business idea?

Did you focus & plan out the business in your mind and then write it down on paper?

Of course you did Take Action? Right?

Well most of us have great ideas or talents that we can share with the rest of the world but never do. WHY???

Think about how many Jobs you could have created and how many people you could have helped with your idea or business. Do you see where I'm going with this?

So what happened? Why didn't you make it happen? There are many reasons most of us don't Take Action on our ideas but Fear is one of the biggest reasons why.

Why are you afraid? Well fear is the result of an incorrect thought. We are fearful of failure and of the unknown. I know because I was guilty of that too!

What I really Failed at was realizing that failure is a gift that brings knowledge. If you fail, you learn and grow but only if you accept it as the gift that it is. If you're like me you've failed and given up a time or two. BUT the simple TRUTH is that when Failure happens you have to see the lesson to be learned.

My Friend when this happens you will always succeed! Failure is your friend remember that!!!

:-D

Besides, it's not even TRUE failure. TRUE failure happens when you stop trying.

Fear of the Unknown is the bane of many people's existence.

You know how it goes - What if...

And YES, I was also afraid of the Unknown. Remember we're programmed from a young age to Fear and to fear the Unknown. The problem is that Fear breeds negativity and that in turn can ruin anything if we let it. But, that's a subject for another day.

Those What Ifs usually never happen and if they do then you need to take the time to examine them for your lesson. Every bad thing has good in it, so it's up to you my friend to decide which side you'll look at.

The Unknown has immense opportunities and potential for growth both spiritually and financially. The past is known and the unknown lies in the future. If your past has not gotten you to your dream or goal, then the unknown is the place to be. Don't you think so?

Take Action and Do something worthy!

Here's a couple quotes for you to think about:

"Don't fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have."

Red Light Camera Ticket...

What If You Can't Stop on Red

Do the Red Light Cameras that more and more cities are putting in service really reduce preventable collisions, or are they just a money magnet for the cities and for the companies that install them?

Do the cameras really keep the community safe, or is it just a receipt for disaster causing more rear end accidents?

Cities say that red light running is a dangerous and costly problem. They cite that most people run red lights because they are in a hurry, when in fact they only save seconds. And that the red light runner also puts his life and the safety of others at risk. These cites say their objective is to change driver's behaviors to keep the community and our kids safe by reducing preventable collisions at red light intersections.

Owners of vehicles photographed running red lights at intersections where cameras are installed will receive a Notice of Violation and will be subject to a fine of $75 and up to $350 depending on where you receive the ticket, the west coast seem to have the higher fines.

Red light cameras are going up all over the U.S., and hundreds of motorists are getting citations in the mail each month for running red lights, but something that enforcement is not saying is that a significant number minor accidents increase as people slam on their brakes. This is consistent around the country when cameras are installed.

One company, Redflex, is helping to dole out about 4,000 traffic citations per day, or just under 1.5 million per year. The company's cut per ticket varies by city, but in its hometown, Scottsdale, Redflex pockets about $40 from each $180 red-light fine on average. Redflex has 600 cameras in 87 cities in six states. Roughly 200 more will be installed this year. It has 60 cameras in Chicago. More than 40 percent of all traffic cameras installed in the U.S. are Redflex. Redflex had $26 million in revenue last year, has emerged as one of the fastest-growing companies within an industry whose growth potential it believes is staggering. The industry could some day become a $3 billion juggernaut, Redflex recently told analysts.

This is typical of the revenue being made by these companies, and we are the ones footing the bill. I believe that red light and speed enforcement needs to be addressed but in most cases it's a little fuzzy about what is safety and what is just plain a money making scheme. Some cities are going as far as to cut the red light timing by as much as a second to give more tickets, and the public is at risk in these types of situations due to increased rear end collisions.

My advise is with red light camera locations growing at 25% a year, don't take a chance. Make sure you stop at the lights, there is enough time to do so in most cases, but if it appears that stopping may cause an accident be prepared to get a ticket. If you do under these circumstances have all the facts to take with you to court.

I know from experience as I got one of those letters in the mail recently, along with the typical $100.00 ticket that I am fighting in court the end of November. In the photo ticket that I received it was a clear morning in September at 8:30 am and it looks like midnight with no lights on. You can barely see my vehicle in the photo and you can't see the red light to tell what color it even was, they did however have a clear photo of my license plate. you can see the actual ticket I received and a photo of my plate at my web site below along with some tips on tickets.

Celestron SkyScout Personal Planetarium

Celestron SkyScout Personal Planetarium
Customer Review: Forget It

I had never been so disappointed in a product. The advertisements and reviews swayed me to purchase the product. I have a great interest in astronomy so I could hardly wait to get the Celestron SkyScout. Setting up the program on the computer was painless. It was capturing stars that was next to impossible. You cannot simply point at a star and capture it. I tried using a tripod but even that was difficult. I returned the product and went back to my dependable telescopes.

Customer Review: Star gazer

I have always wanted a way to map the stars and learn more about them, and this gadget really works. It does not magnify anything, just points you in the right direction, so you still need a good pair of binoculars or a telescope and a celestial map to make the experience mean something... Can't wait for Summer months when I can take more time outside on a comfortable deck chair and do some serious Star gazing...
